The first legislative redistricting map was voted down in the Iowa Senate. Legislative Services Agency is projecting they will have the second set done October 21st and the Governor has scheduled a special session for October 28th. If this second plan is voted down, a third map can be created, this time with amendments from the legislature. We are still planning to wait on ISW PAC distributions until there are new maps. Congressional and legislative maps take effect in January 2022. School boards have until May 2023 to approve their maps and Community College Districts cannot begin until those are done and have a deadline of August 2023. We will continue to monitor this process and the special legislative session.
