Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grants (SCCTG) Funding Available
March 2, 2022, the Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) announced $45 million available to community colleges through the second round of funding for the SCCTG program.
This new round builds on the initial $40 million in grants that were awarded last year. The department will award grants of up to $1.6 million for single institutions and up to $5 million for consortiums, with up to $5 million designated to fund at least one affinity consortium grant.
To increase access to educational and economic opportunities – particularly for individuals from historically underrepresented and marginalized populations – the department will give special consideration to applications submitted by Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, Minority-Serving Institutions Programs or Strengthening Institutions Programs using the U.S. Department of Education’s eligibility indicators.
Applications are now open and must be submitted by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on June 2, 2022. To learn more about the SCCTG program, click here. For more information on the funding opportunity and to apply, click here.
