ACCT Webinar: U.S. Customs and Border Protection - March 18, 2021 at 1 p.m.
Community college trustees, CEOs and other leaders are invited to participate in a webinar with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to learn more about the federal agency's role in working with higher-education institutions and their foreign-exchange or academic-visa students.
The information you will learn can expand the ability of your college to attract foreign students to programs by establishing a working relationship with your local CBP office, to understand the admission and inspection process that students have to go through, and to provide greater understanding on what institutions need to do in order to be able to offer their programs to foreign students.
After viewing this webinar, you'll know more about the admissibility and inspection process for foreign students arriving in the U.S. through academic exchange or the various academic visas.
You will be better equipped to attract foreign students to enroll in your institution and establish a working relationship with CBP officers in order to better support current foreign students enrolled in your programs.

IACCT Trustee Leadership Webinar: March 24 at 4:00 p.m. - ACCT Rural Community College Grant Report
In early 2020, Jee Hang Lee (Senior Vice President of ACCT) and Rachel Rush-Marlowe (Senior Program Manager) visited Iowa and spoke with many Community College Presidents, Trustees, legislators, and members from organizations and associations across the state, regarding the needs of Iowa's rural Community Colleges as well as the issues affecting them. This was made possible by a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, allowing for 5 states to be studied: California, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Iowa.
Rachel has been working tirelessly on a report of their findings, and she and Jee Hang will be sharing key takeaways during this webinar. We hope many of you can join and participate.
