For this old historian, these are interesting times to say the least. The virus has created a context that personally takes me clear back to the anti-war years with regard to shutting gatherings down, but the circumstances are dramatically different. Our Presidents met by phone on Wednesday to exchange strategies on confronting this daunting situation. Every one of our fifteen colleges naturally has their own problems, and it is always encouraging that we exchange these perspectives and still stay by our tradition of local governance and decision making. We are getting closer to the budget process and the REC met on Thursday with members of our team attending.
