Breakout session proposals were more competitive than ever this year, both in the number and quality of the submissions. After extensive conversation amongst our program committee – comprised of community college employees across institutions and in a variety of roles – the selected 30 breakout sessions are designed to be responsive, interactive, and actionable. On Wednesday of the Convention and Tradeshow, we dedicate the evening to celebrating excellence with our Outstanding Community College Awards. Many community colleges have not yet submitted nominees for their institutions. Submissions are due Friday, September 26. Be sure to nominate your colleagues and partners here!

ACCT Leadership Congress is Oct. 22-25 in New Orleans, RSVPs Required for Iowa Reception
Over 1,500 community college trustees and presidents from across the country will be gathering for the annual ACCT Leadership Congress. CCforIowa is hosting an Iowa-specific specialty reception for those attending from our state. Young Professionals of Iowa Conference to be held in Ames on Friday, Oct. 10
Community college employees and students are invited to attend the largest young professionals gathering in the state for networking, skillbuilding, and insights designed by YPs for YPs to fuel their careers and passions. In honor of this year marking 20 years of YP Iowa, conversations will be centered on “Back to the Future,” discussing what’s unique to today’s YPs and the impact they want 20 years from now.
