As is more common than not, the legislative session is now in overtime. Legislators no longer receive per diem to come to the Capitol.
POLICY BILLS THAT MOVED THIS WEEK:
Last Friday, House File 117, the National Guard Service Professional Qualification Scholarship Program, and House File 118, the National Guard Service Scholarship Program, were signed by the Governor. On Tuesday, House File 295, Accreditation, was signed by the Governor.
BUDGET BILLS:
Education Appropriations (HSB 337 & SF 647):
The Senate Education Appropriations Committee did recommend passage of their bill on Tuesday.
Economic Development Appropriations (HF 1040 & SF 645):
The House Committee recommended an amendment and passage of their bill on Monday. The amendment does not change their previous recommendations from HSB 336.
