Register for Advocates in Action 2025!
Registration is now open for AACC’s annual Advocates in Action! The two-day seminar will take place in Washington, D.C. on September 17 and 18.
2025 Convention & Tradeshow
The RFP for the Convention & Tradeshow closes on August 8. With this year's theme of 'One Mission, Many Voices: Working Together for a Stronger Future,' we are looking for sessions that focus on four main areas:
- Strategic Leadership & Institutional Vision
- Examples: Long-term planning in a shifting educational landscape, visionary leadership, aligning mission and strategy, succession planning, and institutional resilience.
- Workforce & Community Impact
- Examples: Innovative workforce partnerships, regional economic development initiatives, community-responsive program design, scaling apprenticeships and internships, and impactful storytelling with local employers.
- Engagement, Advocacy, & Campus Voice
- Examples: Community and stakeholder advocacy, amplifying campus stories to build public support, mobilizing grassroots advocacy through campus and community networks, and driving statewide collaboration to advance the mission of Iowa's community colleges.
- Talent, Culture, & Student Success
- Examples: Fostering a culture of belonging and excellence, recruiting and retaining top faculty and staff, wellness and mental health initiatives, student retention strategies, and integrated academic and support services.
