Department of Education Reports
This week the Department of Education published three reports, the 260G ACE Infrastructure Report; the Senior Year Plus Program Report; and the Online Learning in Iowa Annual Report. Each of these has been linked to the full report which can be viewed at any time.
The Value of Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment has always given more flexibility to Iowa's high school students who want to earn college credit early. By allowing students to engage in these courses while in high school, they are often more prepared for the college transition and are more likely to graduate. Because Iowa provides supplementary weighted funding for its K-12 schools, this allows minority and low-income populations to engage in courses like this as well.
