February 4-7, ACCT National Legislative Summit, Washington, DC
The National Legislative Summit is the premier community college advocacy event in Washington, DC, bringing together more than 1,000 community college leaders. The event shines a spotlight on the importance of our nation’s community colleges for Congress and the Administration.
The National Legislative Summit is designed to inform and educate community college leaders on federal policy issues that impact postsecondary institutions and students. National Legislative Summit participants will hear from members of U.S. Congress, administration officials, leading political analysts, and other high-profile speakers about the current climate in D.C., recent elections, and legislative issues impacting community colleges.
Participants also have the opportunity to network with fellow community college leaders and meet with their U.S. representatives in Congress to advocate for their support for community colleges and their students.
February 6, Agribusiness Career Day
Join us at the Paul R. Knapp Animal Learning Center from 10-2 on February 6, where students will be able to get a look at the future of jobs in the agriculture sector. There are scholarships available for students able to attend (up to $1,000), and companies may talk to students about job offers post-graduation. We highly encourage colleges to send their students!

February 26-March 1, Leadership in Action Week
In 2024, we are hosting the first annual Community College Leadership in Action Week. While the events will feel familiar, we are packaging them together for one cohesive week of events. These events include the Student Legislative Seminar, PTK, and Community College Day on the Hill. The Student Legislative Seminar will take place from 12pm to 4pm on February 26th followed by PTK that evening. Then, on February 27th, we will host Community College Day on the Hill from 7:30am to 12pm.
Click here to register! The registration form is to be used by one person per college (ideally) to register your participation in the Leadership in Action Week, including the Student Legislative Seminar and the Community College Day on the Hill. The PTK Awards event will also be held this week, but we are reaching out separately to campus advisors for that information. More information to come soon on all 3 events.
